Why one router isn't enough

London housing stock is unkind to wireless: solid brick, lath and plaster, foil-backed insulation and structural steel all attenuate signal badly. A single router in the hallway cupboard cannot cover a four-storey terrace, and adding cheap extenders usually halves throughput while creating a network that drops connections as devices cling to the wrong access point.

Designed, not guessed

We survey the building, measure real signal levels, and place wired access points where they are actually needed. Access points connected by cable and powered over Ethernet give consistent coverage, proper roaming as you move through the building, and far better performance than any daisy-chained wireless repeater.

Networks that behave

• Segregation — separate networks for guests, work devices, and smart home or CCTV equipment, so a compromised gadget cannot reach your laptop
• Sensible naming and roaming — one network name across the building, with devices handed cleanly between access points
• Wired where it counts — desks, TVs, consoles and access points on cable; wireless for the things that move
• Resilience — UPS protection for the cabinet, and failover to mobile broadband where downtime is costly

Security

Modern encryption, unique credentials, current firmware, remote administration disabled by default, and smart-home and camera traffic kept on their own network. We hand over documentation so you know what is connected and how.

Switching, VLANs, structured cabling and access points designed together, plus support for VoIP telephony and cloud services — with the cabling certified so performance issues can be diagnosed properly.
