Fire Alarm Monitoring
24/7 connection to an alarm receiving centre so a fire signal gets a response even when the building is empty.
Why monitor
A sounder only helps if someone is there to hear it. Out of hours, at weekends, or in an unoccupied building, an unmonitored alarm can ring for hours with nobody responding. Monitoring connects your panel to an alarm receiving centre staffed around the clock, so a genuine fire signal produces an immediate, escalating response.
How it works
- A communicator is fitted to your fire panel, signalling over IP with a backup path so a single failure can't silence it
- Alarm, fault and test signals are transmitted and logged
- On a fire signal the centre follows your agreed escalation list — keyholders, on-site staff and the fire service as appropriate
- Fault signals are handled separately, so you know about a defect before it becomes a compliance problem
Who it suits
Unoccupied or partially occupied buildings, HMOs and blocks of flats, warehousing and storage, premises with high-value stock, and any site where an insurer has asked for a monitored connection.
Documented and tested
Monitoring is checked as part of your regular service visit — signals are verified end to end so you know the path actually works, not just that the equipment is fitted.
